(edited on: 2013-10-18 01:39)
I had the same problem with both, RSBE01 (self-ripped) and RSBP01 (external), which are the PAL and NTSC versions of Super Smash Bros. Brawl respectively (both over 6GB). Also, both had "GO" listed in the Partitions list when loading (.wbfs format).

I fixed it by converting the .wbfs into .ciso and then back into .wbfs after which it only had "G" Partitions. Copying it over to the NTFS drive afterwards worked without problems.

I'm attaching a screenshot of my error log becasue I don't have text logs. Edit: Or not, because .png is not allowed. Whatever, you can view it here: http://i.imgur.com/vX9EGC2.png [^]

Incompatible with reading/adding Korean Wii games on USB HDD
Hello, WiiBackupManager appears to be unable to add any Korean Wii games to USB HDD, or read any that may be already be on the USB HDD. Trying to read a USB HDD with Korean games will stop the app from reading and listing the available games once it gets to trying to read the first Korean game it finds. (More specifically, when it tries to read the first partition on the Korean game iso, WiiDisc.DoDisc -> Error reading partition) Trying to add one from file results in it not being listed (same error, WiiDisc.DoDisc -> Error reading partition)
Try to read a USB HDD from Drive 1 / Drive 2. Try to add a Korean Wii game from Files / DVD.
Appears to be caused by Korean Wii game partitions being encrypted with a different common key than the ordinary one non-Korean ones use, and WiiBackupManager not knowing that, and therefore trying to use the regular common key to decrypt them. To detect which common key a partition is encrypted with, check the value of byte 0x1F1 in the partition's ticket. If the value is 0x01, use Korean Key, else use regular common key. That should fix it. Korean key: (taken from http://hackmii.com/2008/09/korean-wii/ [^]) 63 b8 2b b4 f4 61 4e 2e 13 f2 fe fb ba 4c 9b 7e

Adding .wbfs files and then transferred to drive destroys the wbfs
I compress Wii-ISO-files to wbfs because they are usually getting smaller than RAR-files. I use "wit copy *.iso -d . --wbfs" But adding wbfs files created from this seem to fail at Wii Backup Manager. When transferred to the USB drive, the WII fails to boot the game. However if I copy the wbfs file directly to the USB-drive, the WII game will run.

Covers can't be stored on a WBFS drive. You need to copy the covers to your SD card instead.

1. Insert your SD card
2. Set your USB loader and base cover folder in the WBM settings
3. Mount your USB drive
4. Use the "Download and sync" functions on the drive page menus.

The folder you need to use depends on which USB loader you're using.

Feature Request
I am wondering if WiiBackupManager could create sfv files after converting files.
Notes
(0000010)
fig
2011-11-27 14:28
I could add this if I have time although it's not really a priority because you can use the SHA-1 hash check to verify the actual game contents. There's also an MD5 function that can store the hash inside the WBFS files too. Both the CRC(sfv) and MD5 can't actually tell if a game is corrupt. They're only used to verify that the file hasn't changed over a period of time. The internal SHA-1 hash is absolute. If the hash check passes, the whole contents of the disc is in working order.
(0000013)
kiczek
2011-11-29 00:42
Since many people store wbfs files on ftp servers having an external hash verifier would be a nice feature for those users.

OK, that sounds like a valid situation where you'd need the sfv. :)

I'll look into the CRC32 calculation and the layout of the sfv file. I need to compare the speed with existing tools to make sure it's up to par. What do you use just now?

My idea is to have the Calculate CRC32 (Create sfv file?) function in the tools menu and also an option to auto calculate the checksums ~after the transfers. It would need to be done in 2 stages since the whole file(s) need(s) to be hashed.

The checksum will change of you rename the titles, remove partitions etc. That's the bad thing about this and MD5, but they're still useful when you don't plan on making any changes to the files.

Currently I use fsum ( http://www.slavasoft.com/fsum/ [^] ) and a .bat file to generate sfv files
the bat file is a simple affair conatining the following

for /f %%a IN ('DIR /b *.wbfs') do call _fsum.exe -js -jnc *.wb??>%%~na.sfv

the problem with sfv files is because they sometime will contain 2 files in the case of .wbf1

Example

\Metroid Prime - Trilogy_[R3ME01]\ contains
R3ME01.sfv
R3ME01.wbfs
R3ME01.wbf1

R3ME01.sfv is a text file containing the following

; Generated by WiiBackupManager v0.4.5 build 76
; http://www.wiibackupmanager.tk/ [^]
;
; donate at http://tinyurl.com/DonateToWiiBackupManager [^]

R3ME01.wbfs 3F942E3C
R3ME01.wbf1 E5682908

; anything which contains the semicolon in the sfv file is optional and does not need to be included but if it's no trouble to add it why not

Possibility to download the cheat of all games or only
It can be useful to be able to download the cheat for your game whitin the program, and then saves in a folder called codes. Actually I use a little trick to download all the code thanks to your program and wget and a particular export list I made (It works in windows). Here the link for wget and download the binaries: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm [^] And you can download the modified export list (attachment). Copy the export list *.bat file in the same directory as wget.exe file and double click on it.

I've tried a few different things with this, but it still happens. It only happens with the file list.

I've went as far as deleting the list control and recreating it from scratch, also copying and pasting the control from the drives page, moving the tab so the DVD tab is first. It still happens. I can't reproduce the problem in a small test app.

It's a really strange bug that I will eventually figure out and want to kick myself for not seeing the solution..

When using the "Add files" or "Add folder", if there's a problem opening the file it's marked as bad in the mini log on the progress panel, but there's no entries in the main log.
Seems like the debug event isn't assigned to the Wii disc class correctly at this point in the code because it's never triggered. It's impossible to tell what's wrong with the files without this information in the log.
